Tsubasa : Weeping Lilies

Oh, yikes.

Well. Where to start...

First and foremost... I'm not happy with this dress. It was a really rushed job, taking me a total of three days' work to do (while making another costume). Not to mention that the artwork it was based it off (from the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle artbook) was not very detailed. Therefore, I took most of the liberties concerning the detailing myself.

The dress is made of delustered Cathedral Satin, with a hoop skirt, tulle petticoat and two-skirt combo. It is ruffled at the front and has a wing-like bow with wire in the back with tails, as well as a short train. The decorations on the dress are pearls in three different sizes, all hand-sewn, false white lilies and rhinestones. The headdress is made of more lilies, as well as a long black veil edged with black lace.

GAH. Everywhere I went in this dress, I kept catching on things because of the flowers' stamens, and, since I was rushing about and being a little careless, I kept shedding pearls and flowers all day. *is lame*

Also, please to be excusing the really lame, obviously-shooped background. The convention where this was taken at had horrible scenery, and, for some reason, there was a giant pie on a tripod behind me.

...I'm not kidding.
