Code Geass: Final Waltz

The final waltz between Euphemia and Suzaku.

I made Euphemia for Waicon 2008 to compete with. I was a little hesitant to compete, since I'd been unfairly disqualified the day before, but it was a success! xD I ended up winning Best Female Costume, I was so surprised! xD

Everything on my costume is made from scratch, even my shoes, which are ever so pretty! <333

This photograph was taken at Melbourne Supanova this year by the lovely Neil while we were on stage. We ended up winning Best Couple with the costumes again, even though we were unsure if we wanted to enter or not. We hadn't finished our other costumes, so we just rocked up in them again. xD'

This dress is in two parts, with the white skirt separate from the pink over-dress. The skirt is poofed out with a hoop-skirt and a tulle petticoat. I made the bolero as accurately as I could, but I stylized the pink dress a little more. Instead of the petal-looking rounded ends, I cranked up the tension and made them a little sharper, so instead of a daisy they looked more like a lilly. I found it was much more flattering that way.

I was surprised that I actually looked okay on stage, I'm usually pretty bad photography-wise. xD I edited the photograph a little to get rid of the flyaway hair, and to make the wig at the back a little fuller.

Every time we walk on stage with these costumes, we're made to waltz off! I can't dance, argh!
