Lady In Red

At last, here is a full-body shot of my now-completed Madam Red costume! *dies* It took a while for me to get my act together and actually finish the last little details, which included fixing the wig completely, re-making the neck cravat and adding the frilled cuffs on the sleeves. Now it's finished, I can rest in peace.

Much props to my sweetie , who made my hat from scratch to match my outfit perfectly. ILU my handsome devil! <333 Somewhere, there is a naked ostrich wondering where its feather has gone to. OHOHO.

As you can see, the dress is very very red. xD;;;

The outfit consists of a period-accurate ensemble, consisting of two skirts and an over-apron. The back of the skirt is bustled, and held properly into position by a handmade replica butt-pillow xD (ahyuk). The back of the suit-style shirt is pleated, and the cuffs and cravat are made of fine lace. All black trim is actually very good-quality satin ribbon (which photographs terribly, I know >_< ) .

All in all, I think this costume came out pretty well, huh! It was so hard to go around and not shove peoples' faces in my bosoms, although whenever I saw my cute little nephew around, I couldn't resist!!

Also, I wanted to do a Little Britain and shout "But I'm a lady!". Oh, woe is me. xD
