Seems like every other journal I write, I have some sort of technological failure OTL;;;

I'm really sad to announce that my external harddrive, the loving little box where I stored my data, has died. Which is really terrible timing, because I had planned to buy a new harddrive this coming fortnight (a shiny new one) and back up all my data. I'm not sure exactly what's wrong with it - but when I turn it on, it makes a horrible whirring, clicking noise, and it doesn't seem to connect via USB to my laptop.

In that harddrive was stored all my music and documents, and worse, all my art files and photographs. This includes all my cosplay photos (also from shoots that I hadn't managed to add more to on my Tumblr account) and my large art files. And, unfortunately, my original files of Tutorials.

I'm feeling very disheartened right now, especially about my Cosplay Tutorials. As simple as they were, I'd planned a few more quite soon, but if I don't have the original files, I can't edit the existing Tutorials to include the new links. One idea I had is to do the existing ones from scratch, but because I don't have the original photos, the best I could do would be to printscreen the existing ones, which would mean the quality would be quite low... Ah, we'll have to see, especially since it'll be such a large job, and I'm so bad at Flash coding...

Once again to everybody who's been looking out for more upcoming Tutorials, I'm very sorry I've kept you all in the lurch, especially when I did promise to put more up soon. I suppose we'll just have to see how the time pans out.
